The Palmetto state needs a new nickname. “Tire Country,” as it recently became the tire manufacturing capital of the United States. South Carolina produces 89,000 units per day. Michelin was the first to arrive in 1975. It now has over ten plants operating in both Carolinas. Bridgestone, Firestone, and Continental also have plants in our territory. The additions of Trelleborg A.B., Giti Tire NA, and other expansions will add additional employment opportunities. Our client base ranges from passenger tire production to large tires used by heavy equipment manufacturers.
